Believe it or not this is actually our fifth year of Love Your Tent at the Isle of Wight Festival
We started with just our free to stay in RESPECT field and now we house nearly 3000 people across our Respect and Love Your Tent fields.
Speaking to some of our campers today, who are staying with us for the first time, they said they were ‘amazed at how chilled out, friendly and civilised’ the Love Your Tent field was opposed to general camping which they described as ‘just like being in Beirut’.
We love our campers who make the Love Your Tent experience so good each year and such amazing fun. We love hearing your stories so please do interact with us throughout the weekend and tell us how you’re getting on either by popping by the office or via social, remembering to tag us in and use our #justtakeithome hashtag. We’ve actaully had a marriage proposal already (she said yes by the way so we’ve got the Prosecco on ice for when they reappear from their tent!!!)
We’ve also been Tent-cilling people’s tents with the festival logo so they love their tents even more, an inititiave we’ve launched with Shambala, Boomtown and Fresh Fields so festival goers can collect logos on their tents throughout the season, much like they would with other event memorabilia. If you want your tent tagged, just let us know and the team will get the spray paint out. It’s free to have it done, all we ask is you take a selfie with your tagged tent and post it on social using #justtakeithome #tentcilchallenge
So all that’s left to say is welcome to all of our lovely campers pitch your tent (the scouts are around if you need help), laze in the sun, meet your neighbours, have an ice-cream (we’ve already tasted the choc brownie ice cream from Salt and Dry catering in our field YUM YUM), or cold beer and enjoy yourself.
Love Juliet, Rick, Fin, Graham, Ali, Lois and the rest of the Love Your Tent team x
